Collingswood Farmers' Market

My native country, thee,
Land of the noble free,
Thy name I love;
I love thy rocks and rills,
Thy woods and templed hills;
My heart with rapture thrills,
Like that above.
—Samuel Francis Smith, from "America"

PEACHES! Pam Hurff writes, "We will have delicious Sentry and Garnet Beauty peaches available in limited supply this Saturday at Collingswood. Both are delicious yellow cling-stone peaches, pictured here."

Collingswood Farmers' Market

June 30, 2012:

Weather forecast for Market hours: Partly cloudy in the 70s. 30% chance of some precipitation.

What's in season?

This weekend is the market before Independence Day, and corn is ALL IN.

Blue Acres Berry Farm will be bringing what fans have dubbed "bionic" blueberries to Market.

Pick up some delicious littleneck clams from Clam Daddy's to help celebrate the Fourth of July. They can be easily steamed right on the grill or surprise your friends and family by making your own clams casino, see recipe below.

The Dan Lynn Organic Farm report: Basil, Cilantro, Parsley, Thyme, Rosemary, Cucumbers, Green Beans, Onions, Green Bell Peppers, Scallions, Yellow Squash, Zucchini, and free range brown and green eggs.

Market volunteer Erin treats herself to a garlic called "Georgian Fire." Savoie Organic Farm brings a new variety of garlic often, tops still intact. They are eager to discuss each variety's subtle nuances. Who knew garlic could be so complex?
